CDR’s Aviation Editor, Joetey Attariwala, captured this rare sight of the world famous RAF (Royal Air Force) Red Arrows flight demonstration team, last week, as they flew over Victoria, British Columbia, while en route to Vancouver as part of an 11 week North American tour. It’s been 11 years since the Red Arrows last visited North America, with the current tour being the biggest ever visit to Canada and the United States by the iconic aerobatic team.

Saab has completed a successful first flight with the first Brazilian Gripen E fighter aircraft, 39-6001. At 2.41 pm CET on August 26, the Gripen E aircraft took off on its maiden flight flown by Saab test pilot Richard Ljungberg. The aircraft operated from Saab´s airfield in Linköping, Sweden.
