RCAF laces up for the 2024 RCAF Run

The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 RCAF Run, an exciting event that will see participants from across Canada come together to celebrate fitness, community, and the spirit of aviation. Set against the RCAF's Centennial celebrations, the 2024 RCAF Run promises a memorable and meaningful experience for participants of all fitness levels.

As the RCAF marks one hundred years of excellence in aviation on 1 April 2024, this year’s Run theme is the Centennial. The RCAF Run is an opportunity for individuals to join in the celebration of the RCAF's rich history, its commitment to health and wellness, and the enduring bond between the RCAF and the communities it serves.

The Virtual RCAF Run begins on 31 May 2024 and continues until 16 June 2024 with in-person events beginning 22 March 2024 in Belgium and ending 13 June in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador.

“We hope you can join us for the 2024 RCAF Run. 1 April 2024 marks the Centennial of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and we invite all Canadians to celebrate throughout the year by participating in events and activities nationwide. The RCAF Run connects current and former RCAF members and their families with Canadians, at home or abroad, through sport and fitness. Participating in the RCAF Run is not just about crossing the finish line; it's about crossing flightpaths with members of Your Air Force. As we participate together, we will inspire each other to reach new horizons. We invite everyone to join and Earn your Wings at the 2024 RCAF Run.”

- Lieutenant-General E.J. Kenny, Commander RCAF

“I wish all participants the best for a memorable 2024 RCAF Run. The Royal Canadian Air Force has a presence in the lives of many Canadians through our serving members and veterans, their families, and our Wings from coast to coast. As we mark 100 years of service on April 1, 2024, we will honour those who have served during our first 100 years and inspire the next great generation of Canadians as we move into our next 100 years. Join us for the 2024 RCAF Run and help celebrate the Centennial of Your Air Force.”

- Chief Warrant Officer W.J. Hall, RCAF Command Chief Warrant Officer

“I have always valued the social aspect of running and the way it brings people together. As we celebrate 100 years of the RCAF, I’m so proud to be part this event that not only builds strong relationships within our communities, but also connects those serving across Canada and abroad.”

- Captain Kayla Bowser, Race Director
