New National Defence Minister

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today dropped seven ministers and named new ministers of defence and public safety. As part of the cabinet shuffle, former National Defence Minister and Oakville MP Anita Anand now becomes President of the Treasury Board.  Scarborough Southwest MP Bill Blair, formerly Emergency Preparedness Minister, is the new National Defence Minister. Blair, a former police chief, becomes the country's point person at NATO and will be responsible for Canada's response to the war in Ukraine.
