Héroux-Devtek Inc. has announced that its Rivière-des-Prairies facility will close in September 2010. Some of the production, essentially consisting of small landing gear components, will be transferred to Héroux-Devtek's other facilities in the Greater Montreal area. Under the plan, some of the RDP workforce of 34 employees will be relocated to the Company's other local facilities.
CAE has been awarded a contract valued at approximately C$90 million, by Lockheed Martin, for a comprehensive CC-130J aircraft maintenance technician training solution for the Government of Canada.
The contract was awarded under the program called the CC-130J In-Service Support (ISS) for Canada's new fleet of 17 CC-130J Hercules transport aircraft. This is the second major CC-130J contract awarded to CAE, following the contract award last year directly from the Government of Canada for a comprehensive CC-130J aircrew training solution under the program called the Operational Training Systems Provider (OTSP).

Héroux-Devtek Inc. will be investing a total of $26.5 million at its Kitchener, Ontario landing gear facility, to support its world class international customers. Delivery of the first NH90 NFH helicopter to the French Navy occurred on May 5th at Eurocopter’s Marignane plant in France.
To date, the French Forces have ordered 61 NH90 aircraft among which 27 are the Naval NFH version and 34 the utility transport TTH version, to be followed by a subsequent optional batch of 34 TTH aircraft.
