AIAC congratulates Bell Helicopter Textron on contract
The OWSS contract covers repair and overhaul, parts provisioning, support services and engineering services for the CH-146 Griffon helicopter fleet. Additional sub-contracts will be awarded across Canada over the next decade for support services to be carried out at various military bases.
"This contract is further proof of the strategic importance of Canada's aerospace sector and the role it plays in support of the brave women and men of the Canadian forces. Moreover, our sector remains committed to help secure and drive economic prosperity for Canadians," stated Dr. Claude Lajeunesse, President and CEO of the AIAC.
Dr. Lajeunesse added, "Prime Minister Harper's visit to the Montréal region, which is home to the third largest aerospace industry cluster in the world, sends another clear, positive and welcome signal of his government's belief in and partnership with the people and companies in our sector."
