| Fantino Comments on F-35 Cut Backs |

The Honourable Julian Fantino, Canada's Associate Minister of National Defence, made the following statement following United States Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta's announcement to slow procurement of the United States' order of F-35 Lightning II in line with its plans to reduce government spending. This announcement does not affect the original number of aircraft being purchased by the United States.

| Minister Yelich Visits Avcorp Industries |

The Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification (WD), capped off a successful Metro Vancouver visit by touring Delta-based Avcorp Industries yesterday.
Avcorp was sub-contracted to build Outboard Wings for the new generation of F-35 stealth fighters. This week, the first set of plane wings were being prepared for final assembly at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Forth Worth, Texas.

| Canada’s Last CC-130J Is Complete |

The 17th of 17 CC-130Js built for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) completed final painting this week. Following acceptance flights the aircraft is scheduled for delivery in early May. The aircraft is shown being piped from the paint hangar by Major Allan MacKenzie, the RCAF Detachment Commander at Lockheed Martin in Marietta. Canada’s new CC-130Js have already been deployed to support a wide range of missions and the completed fleet will give Canada extensive mission flexibility for decades to come. |

| Avcorp Delivers First F-35 Outboard Wing Production Unit |

| At a ceremony held at its Delta, B.C facility, Avcorp Industries announced the delivery of the first F-35 Carrier Variant Outboard Wing (CV-OBW) production unit intended for in-service operation. The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, attended the ceremony along with special guests from BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin. Avcorp will deliver the first production unit direct to the final assembly line at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. |

| Cassidian and Rheinmetall UAV Joint Venture |

Cassidian and Rheinmetall have agreed to pursue Rheinmetall’s Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) activities together in a Joint Venture. It was agreed in a contract that Cassidian should hold 51 percent and Rheinmetall 49 percent of the shares in the newly established Joint Venture. The ownership interests are to be assigned to Cassidian by mid-2012 once all the necessary authorisations and antitrust approvals have been granted. The announcement was made by the two companies in Munich and Düsseldorf.

| CAE Awarded Military Contracts in Excess of C$100 million |

CAE has announced that it was awarded a series of military contracts valued at more than C$100 million. They include contracts from Canada's Department of National Defence to perform major upgrades to CC-130H and CH-146 simulators, a contract from Professional Way in Malaysia to provide long-term support services for an AW139 full-flight simulator, a contract to develop two Tornado maintenance trainers for the German Air Force and Royal Air Force, and two contracts from undisclosed customers to provide a CAE 3000 Series helicopter simulator and related training services.
